One of the coolest things about Samsung Password Manager is that you can use it for more than just protecting your passwords. This application comes with two-factor authentication, which will require you to verify a username and a password before accessing any information on the computer. This will stop random people from logging into your system without authorization. You also have the ability to change the security settings that mean you'll always know who have access to your system.

 

We've been testing this application in the S20 series and we are happy with some of the changes this program has made. We've been able to secure our email folders, set up a two-step verification and even customize the time before which your password expires. Let's take a look at these new features in more detail. One thing you'll notice immediately is that the password manager now includes one ui.0 public beta.

 

You may have seen the one ui.0 public beta program that was already available on the Samsung developer's site. It's pretty self-explanatory really. If you have a Samsung phone, you can download this to your phone and begin using it right away. Unfortunately, this one ui.0 beta program is only available for a select number of handsets and there's no word on whether or not the program will make its way to all of the S20 series.

This one is.0 beta update is the first official update for this product. The changelog says that the new system is being introduced in stages so that all Samsung users will get the update at once. Since this is a beta program, you won't necessarily see all the new features in one big update. You should start seeing the new features coming to the devices as they become available. For now though, you can expect the usual improvements that come with this update:

 

The one ui.0 public beta also includes a fix for the "airplane mode". With this new feature, you'll be able to turn off mobile internet if you are out of reach of a particular network. You will also be able to turn off SMS on these eligible devices. The beta program does not offer this feature for the Exynos and Blackberry.

 

Aside from this exciting feature, this version of the Password Manager will also include some more advanced security options. For example, it is possible to set a password that will only allow users of the Samsung Account to log into the system. This means that anyone who knows the password will be unable to access it. These two-factor authentication methods have been used by many companies including Google, which makes this an ideal choice for businesses that need extra security.

 

As for battery life, users can expect about two hours of usage on the average. That's about what you'd get with a normal phone. In terms of speed, the one ui.0 beta has received a rating of 9 on the Google scale. This is much faster than the S6 series. There was one issue, however. If you drain your battery really fast, the software will not be able to restore your phone to its factory settings.

 

It is still early days, before this program becomes available for everyone. Samsung will, of course, make it available for their Galaxy Tab tablet in the future. There are still a few things like tablets and smartphones that need to be sorted out, but this new feature in samsung password manager does show that things are looking bright for the company in terms of security measures.
